Ultratherm Heat Mats and Snake Strips PLUS produce ultra long wavelength infa red red heat and heat the furnishings inside the Vivarium, not the air. Reptiles absorb this radiant heat in a manner very similar to basking in their natural environment.
Ultratherm Heat Mats & Snake Strips PLUS are suitable as a 24 hour heat source and can be used under the tank or wall mounted. In many applications Ultratherm Heat Mats Plus & Snake Strips can be used without a thermostat.
The advantage of the Plus mat over conventional Ultratherm Mats is that they are completely sealed allowing for use in humid terrains.
